Where would my website be hosted?
All websites are hosted on web servers located in the United States. Our data centers are world class tier 1 facilities with strong connections to the backbone. What kind of services does Godolph-Hosting provide?
As the name suggests we provide Web Hosting solutions to our clients. In addition to web hosting we provide SEO analysis and Web Engine Submission, online website builder, dedicated IP addresses and SSL certificates. We are your complete online presence solution.
I pay my ISP 10 times more and have very little web space and bandwidth. How can you provide tons of space and bandwidth and still remain in business? Are you overselling the network resources?
We do not oversell our network resources unlike other ISPs and Web Hosts. We utilize a scalable web hosting technology which means that our resources can be expanded as needed. Unlike other web hosts, who have limited resources per server, we at Godolph-Hosting have the complete control over our network resources and all machines are optimized and designed in such a way that it gives us the ability to expand our web space and bandwidth needs to our desired levels while keeping the costs of deployment at its minimum.
There has got to be a catch to this. Is there any hidden fee I am not aware of at this time?
There is no hidden fee what so ever. Our prices are clearly listed on the website.
Will I be able to renew my services at the same price I bought?
Yes. We will never raise the prices. Instead we offer a price freeze on all services. You will be renewed on the same price structure you initially signed up for. We sometimes give discount tokens which can be used by the clients upon renewal which means you might have to pay less to renew. Now isn't that great?

What is your policy on money back?
We offer unconditional 30 day money back on all web hosting plans except dedicated servers, dedicated IP addresses and SSL certificates. Your money would be refunded back into your credit or debit card if you are not fully satisfied with our services.
I have Windows or Apple Macintosh installed on my home and office computer. Can I use your services?
It does not matter which operating system you have installed on your home or office computer. You can use our services without any problems. Your local computers operating system has nothing to do with our web servers. You can run any software on your local computer and still use our services such as email, upload web files or do any other miscellaneous work without any issues.
How do I sign up for your Web Hosting?
The process is pretty simple. All you need is a credit or a debit card. All orders are processed online. Use the order links on the website and you would be taken to a 128 bit secure SSL client and order management area where you can follow 5 to 6 simple steps to setup your account. After the successful transaction it might take around 6-12 hours for manual checks. You would be sent your welcome email with all the details such as your control panel login information, DNS info etcetera.
I already have a domain name. How can I point it to your web servers?
The process is simple. We will send you two DNS values in your welcome email. All you have to do is to login into your domain registrar provided control and change the DNS of your domain name to those two values. You can also ask your domain registration provider to do this for you if you are new to this.
I already have a domain name with another web hosting company or domain registrar. Can I transfer that domain name to you?
Due to certain technical reasons we cannot accept domain registration transfers which mean that if you already have a domain name elsewhere, we can only host it for you on our web servers.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We can take all major credit and debit cards. We use 2checkout/2co, a credit card processing company based in Ohio United States for processing the cards which means that *2checkout or 2co* would appear in your credit or debit card statement.
Do you offer merchant accounts?
No matter where your business is located you can start accepting all major credit and debit cards directly online within few minutes. Technical Pre sale Questions
What is the typical hardware spec of your web server?
We use scalable technology and our web server resources can be expanded as needed. Our minimum server spec is Dual Opteron, 2 GB RAM, multiple 750 gig hard drives etc.
Do you monitor your servers?
Yes we use Nagios Server Monitoring Software to monitor our machines round the clock. All machines are checked for performance every 2 minutes and corrective action is taken instantly if a drop of service occurs.
What kind of web servers do you use?
We have CentOs Linux operating system on all our web servers. The reason behind this is because Linux is way more secure than Windows and runs much smoothly on web server environments. Most of the web servers on the Internet use Linux operating system.
Do you backup my website?
We back up your data on separate hard drives on different servers which maintains the integrity of the back up.
Do you offer Microsoft FrontPage Extensions?
We support MS Frontpage on all our web servers.
Do you allow telnet / SSH access?
We do not allow Telnet however jailed SSH is available on request.
Can I access mySQL remotely?
You cannot access mySQL remotely however we provide you with phpmyadmin software which can be used to manage your mysql data bases. You would have to upload your mysql content on the web server in order to manage it.
What Operating System do you use on the servers?
We use CentOS Linux on all our web servers.
What version of PHP do you use?
We support both php 4.0 + and php 5+
What version of Apache do you use?
We use Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) however please note that the version written here is for reference only as we keep upgrading as the need arrives.
Can I use Active Server Pages (ASP) on my site?
We do not support ASP at this time.
Can I use Java Servlet Pages (JSP) on my site?
We do not support JSP at this time.
Can I purchase more bandwidth?
Yes additional bandwidth can be bought at the rate of $2 per gig per month.
Can I purchase additional disk space?
Yes additional disk space can be bought at the rate of $2 per 100 MB per month.
Do you offer a shopping cart?
We offer clients one click install word class Oscommerce shopping cart script. It can be installed directly inside the website management control panel.
Can I install custom software on web servers?
Yes you can as long as they can be installed on linux servers.
Can I have my own custom error pages?
Yes you can create them right inside the control panel.
Can I create my own .htaccess files?
Yes you can create them.
